About Us

We welcome riders with a variety of problems and from all age groups. Tradissar was setup by our founder Rayna Matthews to help people that wanted to ride but struggled to or found it impossible riding astride! After a long challenging struggle herself Rayna decided to setup a group to help like minded people experience the opportunities that riding has brought to her.

We meet every week at Crofton Manor Equestrian Centre near Stubbington, Fareham, Hampshire. Each week we have a number of riders (with a waiting list too) who ride both using side-saddle and astride with a great team of helpers too. The abilities of our riders varies from complete beginners to returning riders and those interested in competitions.

Our Aims

The aim of Riding for the Disabled (RDA) is to provide people with a disability, the opportunity to ride and enjoy all the activities connected with horse riding. Riding for people with a disability is both therapeutic and recreational. The RDA is in fact one of the few organisations who offer a multi-diagnostic service, catering for a wide range of disabilites.

Our Objectives

1. To provide disabled people with the means to ride
at the level of their ability, choice and ambition.

2. To acquire, manage and support the resources:
people, ponies, horses, facilities and finance to
achieve the objectives.

3. To make available suitable training.
